Hello Christian family and dear friends. We are so happy to be together anytime and anywhere possible especially on the Lord’s Day, the first day of the week to honor God: singing, praying, learning, giving, and remembering Christ in the Lord’s Supper. Of course, we seek to honor God every day, but on Sunday we get to worship Him together. We will continue to provide our services online on Facebook LIVE on our Facebook page “Harding Street Church of Christ” to those who cannot get out. After each service, we share our services on our “group page” and on my personal Facebook page. Thank you for supporting our efforts to take the gospel of Christ to the world near and far. May God continue to bless us at Harding Street with all that we need to move forward toward heaven.
Due to the upswing in Covid19 cases in our county and around the state, our big VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL has been POSTPONED and moved to Sunday evening, August 1st and continuing through Wednesday evening August 4th, each evening at 6:00 p.m. Our theme is “A Royal Adventure” with topics on the great kings of the Bible concluding with the King of kings and the Lord of lords, Jesus Christ our Savior. We will have Bible study, singing, and snacks for every age, even the adults. Please plan on being here every evening to learn and enjoy. If you can help, please do. Just see the need and do your best to meet it. Together we will do great things for and in the name of Jesus. We’ll let you know if this date changes.
Mark your calendar for our CONWAY COUNTY LADIES’ DAY @ HARDING STREET – Our theme this year is “C.O.F.F.E.E.” – Christ Offers Forgiveness For Everyone Everywhere scheduled for SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 18. Details to follow soon.
We continued this past Sunday in our sermon series “I Died Last Night” with another question that we will ask on the other side of this life: Did I Live “A Beautiful Life?” Today we must ask this question while we still have time. We often sing the song “A Beautiful Life” but do we really think about what we are singing. I hope we will see and meet the challenge to do a golden deed each day, to try to help those in need along the way, and to do the very best we can to live a beautiful life. Life’s evening sun is sinking low. A few more days and we must go to meet the deeds that we have done where there will be no setting sun. If you have living a beautiful life don’t stop. If not, begin today to make the road of life a little bit smoother for others.
On Sunday evening we considered Paul’s message in Romans 8:28 and remembered that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. Joseph of old came to understand this fact. Whether hated or loved, free or in captivity, in the good or in the bad, low or high, he knew that God would work everything out for good. Paul and Silas certainly understood this fact in Acts 16 at midnight when they sang and prayed, felt the earthquake, then saw God’s mighty hand. Jesus has always known that all things work together for good when we love God and live according to His purpose. Even though He had to do what He had to do for a sinful world, He knew God’s promise of good would be fulfilled. It was.
