Hello. I hope you had a fantastic Happy Father’s Day! I love Sundays. We get to worship God in spirit and in truth, sing and pray and study and give and remember Jesus in the Lord’s Supper, and reconnect with our Christian family and friends. I am so glad to be a Christian!
“Is Anything Too Hard for the Lord?” You know the answer to this question. The Lord asked this question of Abraham and Sarah in Genesis 18:14 when He promised that Sarah would have a child even though such a thing seemed impossible since Abraham was 100 years of age and Sarah was 90 (Genesis 17:17). Of course NOTHING is too hard for God. The entire world moves according to His word. He fulfilled His promise when Isaac was born. He is still fulfilling His promises today. The Holy Spirit of God wrote to us through Peter in II Peter 3 regarding God’s actions and man’s reactions. In verse 9 we read that “God is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” Hang in there. We will have what God wills for us at just the right time.
The Apostle Paul wrote about God’s power in Romans 8:31, “If God is for us, who can be against us?” God can do anything. He can do small things. He can do great things. God certainly fulfills all His promises! Always has. Always will.
When the Lord says in Luke 6:38; “Give, and it will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom, for with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you” He means it. And He always delivers on His promises. See for yourself. I certainly experience this promise fulfilled in my life every day. What “measure” are you using, a teaspoon, a shovel, or a dump truck? God promises to use the “same measure” back to you.
Ephesians 3:20 says: “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” Again, God is able.
Since Sunday was Father’s Day we focused on God, our Father and how we can expect the very best from Him. I remember my dad’s teachings almost every day. What is our Father God telling us? Begin every day with prayer and faith. Look and listen. Find the good. Speak kind and truthful words. Associate with positive people. Be thankful for everything. Don’t just think it. Say it. On this evening at 5:00 we found out what is was the Jesus gave for us; His everything.
NEXT SUNDAY – Brother Jeremiah Schnell will be with us preaching and teaching. We’re considering him to become our minister. Don’t miss it!
