Hello. Every Sunday (Actually every time we get together) we find happiness in our love for God and each other. We honor God in our singing, praying, giving, preaching, and in the Lord’s Supper, and then right after the worship hour we study the Bible in one of our classes for just a few minutes. Thank you so much for allowing me to be away to see my youngest granddaughter play soccer in the Mayor’s Cup International Soccer Tournament in Las Vegas, Nevada. They played great and won three games that lead to the championship but fell one goal short and lost 1 to 0 in the final game. Thank you to Geoffrey for the good sermons last Sunday (Feb 25) and to Matt for teaching the young adults. There’s no place like home.
God is so good to us. The world we live in is beautiful. Cindi and I saw many beautiful sights out in Nevada, the Mojave Desert, the Hoover Dam, Red Rock Canyon, Mt. Charleston, a bird preserve, and the sights and sounds of the big city. We were lucky enough to see 6 wild horses up in the mountains. We also visited with our friends in Boulder City, Greg and Darla Anderson. I will focus on the beauty and not get caught up in the storms of life that come and go and can distract us from the blessings of the Christian life. We live in a good world. It is true that we have many problems. And there have always been and are some who live opposed to God’s will. Just think about how wonderful the world would be if we ALL followed Jesus’ word and His example in life.
Love one another (John 13:34-35).
Forgive one another (Ephesians 4:32).
Honor your parents (Ephesians 6:1).
Do what is right (Romans 12:9).
Obey the governing authorities (Romans 13:1-3).
Tell the truth (Matthew 5:37).
Help one another (Galatians 6:2).
Work (II Timothy 3:15-17).
Give (Luke 6:38).
Pray (I Thessalonians 5:17).
Care (I Corinthians 12:25).
Respect (Hebrews 10:24-25).
Don’t quit (Revelation 2:10).
Trust and be trustworthy (Proverbs 3:5).
Be good (I Timothy 6:18).
Can you see how living the Christian life is the only way to live? You can live that way. Put these simple things into practice and see what a positive difference you can make in the world, our world, God’s world. MB
