Hello. Welcome. Every day is special. The Psalmist David wrote, “This is the day the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it.” Sunday is very special to every Christian. On Sunday we gather together as the Lord’s church just like we’ve been doing since the Apostles and the early church did 2,000 years ago. We sing, pray, study the Bible, give to further the gospel and make the church strong, and we share in the Lord’s Supper to remember Jesus’ sacrifice. It is always so good to be together every Lord’s Day to worship God in spirit and in truth.
Can you believe that 2024 is only 42 days away? Whatever your “New Year’s Resolutions” were back 11 months ago, better get busy. Thanksgiving is this week! What a joy it is to be a child of God!
Maybe you’ve been thinking about your life and how you have been living it. If things are not right between you and God, there is no better day than today to make a change. Believe in Jesus. Repent of your sins. Confess Jesus as the Son of God. Be baptized today to have all your sins forgiven and washed away. Be saved by grace through faith today. If you have questions, please ask any of our elders or ministers and we will be so happy to help you.
BE THANKFUL…We often sing the song below at Harding Street. Read the words and note just how true these words are.
When upon life’s billows you are tempest tossed,
When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost,
Count your many blessings name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord has done.
Are you ever burdened with a load of care?
Does the cross seem heavy you are called to bear?
Count your many blessings every doubt will fly,
And you will be singing as the days go by.
When you look others with their lands and gold,
Think that Christ has promised you His wealth untold,
Count your many blessings, money cannot buy
Your reward in heaven nor your home on high.
So, amid the conflict, whether great or small,
Do not be discouraged, God is over all;
Count your many blessings, angels will attend,
Help and comfort give you to your journey’s end.
Count your blessings, name them one by one.
Count your blessings, see what God has done.
Count your blessings, name them one by one.
Count your many blessings, see what God has done. MB
