Hello. Welcome. You are looking great! Are you thankful today for God’s blessings in your life? I hope so. How about stopping now to say “Thank you” to our Father for His blessings in your life. We are thankful everyday for the many opportunities to meet together to worship God in spirit and in truth with our fellow Christians. These days are good days. What does God say in PSALM 128? Read it and live it. When you do, you’ll see. When you don’t, you’ll see.
If you haven’t been “to church” in a while, how about coming out for worship this weekend. We meet at 906 Harding Street in Morrilton every Sunday at 9:00/10:00/5:00 and then again on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. Geoffrey, Drayke, Ron, and Cindi and I stand at the door before every service to welcome members and guests to our assembly. Everyone needs a handshake and a cheerful “Hello” with they come for worship. Being a Christian is the most rewarding experience in life. If you are not a Christian, make that decision as soon as possible. I’ve been preaching on “God’s Eternal Promise – Forgiveness.” Trust and obey. There’s no other way to be happy in Jesus, than to trust and obey. God’s plan of salvation is simple: hear His word, believe it, repent of your sins, confess Jesus, and be baptized. When you arise from the waters of baptism, you are a Christian. The Lord Jesus Himself adds you to His church. If you are a Christian and have not been living the Christian life the way you should, repent and come home to the light. May God help us to walk in the Light and worthy of our calling.
The church will go no farther than the minds and purposes of the individual members. The church cannot function at its best on the mere wishes of people. Being a member of the church is a special privilege. And with that privilege comes special responsibilities. Remember that NOTHING will run itself unless it’s running downhill. We must be ever climbing toward heaven.
One day a man approached a great Christian personal worker and said, “I believe in leading people to Jesus, but I do not like your method.” In response, the personal worker said, “Neither do I, how do you do it?” Confused, the critical man stammered, “Well, I do not know that I do it at all.” “Then,” the worker said, “I like the way I do it better that the way you DON’T do it.” Don’t be concerned, nor surprised if what you DO is criticized. There are always people who can find fault with every plan. MISTAKES ARE MADE, WE CAN’T DENY, BUT ONLY BY THOSE WHO TRY.
