Sunday’s Sermon Topics:
AM – Follow After These Things #6 – GENTLENESS
PM – A BEAUTIFUL LIFE – You Reap What you Sow
Welcome. The weather report for this week looks grand with springlike temperatures and sunshine. Maybe we can get out and about to enjoy it. Did you enjoy your “spring-break” last week? Several were out of town visiting or vacationing. Now it’s back to work and back to school. I’m glad we have Sunday, the Lord’s Day to come together to remember Jesus’ life, His teachings, and the great sacrifice He made for us.
Congratulations to J.D. and Megan Plummer. J.D. and Megan exchanged their wedding vows Saturday evening (25th) on Petit Jean Mountain. Brother Bane officiated. We all enjoyed sharing in their new beginning.
We have a wonderful youth minister, Brother Geoffrey and a fine group of teenagers here at Harding Street. They will be making a trip this coming weekend (March 31-April 2) to Van Buren to the River Valley Youth Rally. Please pray for their safe travels.
Coming up: Saturday, April 22 – GIVEAWAY DAY AT HARDING STREET
Southern Christian Children’s Home, the Downtown congregation, and the Harding Street congregation are coming together in our Annex Building and Parking Lot to have a “giveaway day” for the Morrilton Area. SCCH has clothes, some food items, shoes, and some furniture they want to give away to anyone who would want them. The Downtown congregation will also be bringing items to give away. If you have any clean items that you would like to give away to the community please bring them by the Annex Building Wednesday – Friday (April 19-21) from 9:00 to 12:00 and drop them off. We will store these items in the Annex until Saturday then move them to the parking lot to give away. We also need help on Saturday to prep and load items. No deliveries. Hope you can come and help.
Friday, Saturday, Sunday – April 29-30 – OUR WEEKEND REVIVAL
Dr. Caleb Colley from Jackson, Tennessee will be preaching each evening on Friday and Saturday at 7:00 on our theme, STRONG TOGETHER then again on Sunday morning at 9:00 and 10:00. We will have our monthly pot-luck lunch together at 11:30 then come back down to the main building for an afternoon service, then dismiss for the day. There are flyers on the table in the lobby. Please take as many as you need. MB
A BETTER WAY TO LIVE
If we pray a little more and scold a little less,
If we bear at little more though things are in a mess,
If we work a little more without a bitter groan,
If we talk a little more to Jesus when alone,
If we cling a little more to faith instead of doubt
We’ll have more peace within and joy to spread about.
