Hello Christian brothers and sisters. Welcome family and friends. Thank you for visiting our website. It is my prayer for you and when you read this article you will be encouraged in your walk with Christ and challenged to live better today than yesterday. You can do it. It is so good to come together every Lord’s Day to worship Him in spirit and in truth. Happy Thanksgiving this Thursday! Can you believe that 2023 is only 39 days away? Whatever you planned to do in 2022, better hurry. It could be that you have been thinking about your life and how you have been living it. If things are not right between you and God, there is no better time than today to make a change. If you have not obeyed the gospel, today is your day. Believe in Jesus. Repent of your sins. Confess Jesus as the Son of God. Be baptized as soon as possible to have all your sins forgiven and washed away. Be saved by grace through faith. If you have questions, please ask any of our elders or ministers and we will be so happy to help you.
We extend our deepest sympathy to Harrell Chapman and the CHAPMAN family today in the passing of our dear Sister Carolyn Chapman. Her earthly tabernacle was laid to rest this past Friday. We will sorely miss her here at Harding Street.
This past Sunday we continued in our morning sermon series “Walking in the Light as He is in the Light” and focus on the “G” in L-I-G-H-T. Are we walking in the GRACE OF JESUS? We must live our lives in God’s grace because that is how He saves us. Grace in the pathway to God’s divine nature. God expects His children to grow in His grace every day. Are you walking in the love, the image, and in the grace of Christ Jesus?
On the evening at 5:00 we continued to learn more about gratitude and saw that our thanksgiving should be EXPRESSED. Read from Psalm 107…”Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. LET THE REDEEMED OF THE LORD SAY SO, whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy.” Did you get that? Our gratitude should be…must be expressed to God and to everyone around us. This lesson series is changing me for the better. I hope God’s word is transforming you too. Let God move you higher and deeper to really and truly understand who He is and who you are in Him. There are many ways to say “Thank you” to God: Spend time with Him in study, prayer, and praise. Forgive someone and offer grace instead of condemnation. Serve in some capacity in the church. Share God’s plan of salvation with others. Reach out to help someone in need. Give to God from the very best you have. Praise Him for and in everything past, present, and future. MB
