Hello family and friends. Welcome. A new school year in now in session and so we had a very special promotion for our children and teens this past Sunday (8/28). After the final prayer, we asked our teachers to stand by their respective classrooms, then dismissed our children to their new classrooms by age. On Wednesday, August 31, we will do the same for our Wednesday night classes. We are so very thankful for our wonderful Bible class teachers who prepare every week to teach our children, teens, and adults to know Jesus and His message of salvation to the world.

We took another step on the pathway of the Old Rugged Cross on Sunday in our summer sermon series with a lesson on the “O” in CROSS – OUR ONE AND ONLY FATHER. We have met the requirements – Courage, Responsibility, Obedience, Sacrifice, and Sincerity. We are experiencing many things along the way – Challenges, Responsibilities, Opportunities, Sorrows, and Successes. Now we are focusing on what we shall have at the end of our journey. When you think of a loving caring father, what comes to mind? Love, Authority, Strength, and probably many other principles like these. Where does every good gift and every perfect gift come from? Read James 1:17. How is it that we can do all the things we can do? Read 1 Peter 1:3-5.
On Sunday evening we once again focused on our God and our Father. Since He is Omniscient, Omnipresent, and Omnipotent, what shall we do? What does our Father expect from us? Micah 6:7-8 says, do justly (Do what is right), love kindness (Be a kind and gentle person), and walk humbly with your God (Remember who you are and who God is). This is what God requires. Jesus said to love God supremely and others as Jesus loved us. All the law and commandments stand on these two. How about it? God knows us. He sees us. And He loves us. We are blessed. Now let us be a blessing to those around us to show them the Way, the Truth, and the Life – Jesus. MB
