Hello family and friends. Welcome. Yesterday was a little rainy. I’m hearing the rain now as I type in these words of encouragement to you. No complaints here. We need the rain. And 80 degrees feels so much better than 105, at least to most. God has everything in hand. And He knows exactly what He is doing. As a matter of fact, our sermon last evening (8/21/2022) at the 5:00 worship hour was on God’s Omnipotence, His infinite power and the fact the nothing, absolutely nothing is above Him or beneath Him, in front of Him or behind Him, over him or around Him, or can even be compared to Him. Our God and our Father is #1 in a list of one. He is indeed “the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last” – Revelation 1:11, 22:13). And one day, we will see Him. John wrote in Revelation 22:20, “He who testifies to these things says, ‘Surely I am coming quickly.’ Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!”
Now that school is back in session, it is time for our children to move up to their new classrooms. THIS COMING SUNDAY, August 28 we will have a very special promotion for our children and teens. Plans are to remain seated after the worship hour, ask our teachers to stand by their respective classroom, then dismiss our children to their new classrooms by age. On Wednesday, August 31, we will do the same for our Wednesday night classes. Thank you to our wonderful Bible class teachers who prepare every week to teach our children and teens to know Jesus and His message of salvation to the world. Remember. Promotion Sunday is this Sunday, August 28th.

We continued in our summer series yesterday morning “Walking in the Way of the Old Rugged Cross” with a lesson on the “R” in CROSS – RICHES. In Matthew 19:27 Peter asked Jesus “See, we have left all and followed You. Therefore, what shall we have?” It is okay to think about what we will have at the end of our journey. At the end of the pathway of life we will have riches, true riches: LIFE, HEALTH, FAMILY AND FRIENDS FOREVER, PEACE, AND PURPOSE. Oh, how beautiful heaven must be, sweet home of the happy and free, fair haven of rest for the weary, how beautiful heaven must be. I’m going to heaven, today, tomorrow, whenever, I don’t know. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Him. Hear, believe, repent, confess, and be baptized today. Just walk in the path of the old rugged cross.
