Hello and welcome. We are so happy to be together every Lord’s Day in our hometown, Morrilton, Arkansas. We hope that we all will be encouraged and challenged by what we see and hear when we meet together. May all we do bring honor to God, our Father. He has a plan for all things. Our salvation from sin is His greatest desire. Hear the gospel of Christ today – “Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God” – Romans 10:17. Believe what you hear. Trust God to help you, heal you, and provide for your needs – “He who believes and is baptized shall be saved” – Mark 16:16. Repent. “Repent and be baptized, everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit” – Acts 2:38. Confess your faith in Jesus Christ as the Son of God. “Therefore, whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven” – Matthew 10:32. Be baptized to have your sins washed away. “And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord” – Acts 22:16. When you arise from baptism, walk in newness of life. “Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life” – Revelation 2:10.
Psalm 100:4 – “Enter into His gate with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise.”
GOD, FORGIVE ME WHEN I WHINE
Today, upon a bus I saw a girl with beautiful hair.
I envied her, she seemed so merry, and I wished I was as fair.
When suddenly she rose to leave, I saw her hobble down the aisle.
She had one leg and used a crutch, but as she passed, she gave a smile.
Oh God, forgive me when I whine. I have two legs. The world is mine.
I stopped to buy some candy. The lad who sold it had such charm.
I talked with him, he seemed so glad. If I were late, it’d do no harm.
And as I left, he said to me, “I thank you. You’ve been so kind.
It’s nice to talk with folks like you. You see,” he said, “I am blind.”
Oh God, forgive me when I whine. I have two eyes. The world is mine.
Later while walking down the street, I saw a child with eyes of blue.
He stood and watched the others play. He seemed not to know what to do.
I stopped a moment and then I said, “Why don’t you join the others dear?”
He looked ahead without a word. And then I knew he couldn’t hear.
Oh God, forgive me when I whine. I have two ears. The world is mine.
With feet to take me where I’d go. With eyes to see the sunset’s glow.
With ears to hear what I’d know.
Oh God, forgive me when I whine. I’ve been blessed indeed. The world is mine.
