Hello and welcome. God has once again blessed us with another glorious day to enjoy as we show and share the love of Christ with family, friends, and with those who are searching, hurting, and needing the salvation that only Jesus can give. We will meet together on Facebook LIVE ONLY this Sunday 18th at 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. and then again on Wednesday (21st) at 7:00 p.m.
I am so happy that we will meet IN PERSON at 906 E Harding Street on Sunday morning, October 25th at 9:00 a.m. Of course, we will continue to provide our services online to the many Christians and family and friends who cannot yet meet in person.
Our plans are still in place to BEGIN BIBLE CLASSES on SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 1ST. The elders will inform us of any change in the plan on Sunday, October 25th. Teachers; be preparing your lessons and classrooms for students on November 1st. I am so happy that we have newly renovated rooms: fresh paint, new bulletin boards and dry erase boards. Some classrooms have new chairs and cabinets. Everything is clean, fresh, and sanitized. God has blessed us even in the midst of our troubles.
I pray every day that we will soon be able to feel safe again from something (the virus) that we can’t see, smell, hear, feel, or taste. It is so strange that this enemy of the world can actually attack two of these senses in some people: taste and smell. Speaking of prayer, I came across this poem that has helped me to refocus my life in prayer.
I got up early one morning and rushed into the day.
I had so much to accomplish, I didn’t take time to pray.
Problems just tumbled about me and heavier came each task.
“Why doesn’t God help?” He answered, “My child, you didn’t ask.”
I want to see joy and beauty, but the day toiled on, gray and bleak.
I wondered why God didn’t show me, He said, “But you didn’t seek.”
I tried to come into God’s presence. I used all the keys at the lock.
God gently and lovingly chided, “My child, you didn’t knock.”
I woke up early this morning and paused before entering the day.
I had so much to accomplish that I had to take time to pray.
We are now in the midst of electing the governing officials will serve our nation in the coming days. Early voting has begun and election day, November 3rd is just around the corner. Please exercise your right and duty as an American citizen to cast your VOTE for a candidate that will help us individually and collectively to “lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth” (1 Timothy 2:1-4).
I will pray. I will vote. May God bless us as we seek first in kingdom and His righteous in life and living.
