Hello my friends. It’s Friday, March 27th. I hope you are doing well and trying to do “social distancing” to protect yourself and those who might be vulnerable to the “virus.” Of course, if you are experiencing symptoms that would suggest that you might have the “virus” please call your doctor and go get tested. If you need help, please call me.
I miss you. I miss seeing you, seeing your smile, grasping your hand in the lobby before we enter the auditorium for worship together. I miss our time together as a church and the joys of Christian fellowship. Somehow, some way God will see us through this difficult time.
Update on the sick:
Ronnie Hill is at home after hip surgery.
Shirley Edwards is undergoing chemo treatments.
Our deepest sympathy is extended to our Sister LORETTA RIDLING in the passing of her sister, Mary Lou Clowers. Her graveside funeral was today the 27th at 2:00 p.m. in Scotland. Brother Bane and I were privileged to say a few words to encourage the family.
We still plan on meeting again on Easter Sunday, April 12th, Lord willing. The elders will let us know if those plans need to be updated or extended.
While we are homebound and having to “social distance” I am presenting a period of worship every Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m. Geoffrey is also posting a very encouraging devotional time at these special times. Please log into Facebook at 9:00 a.m. for these special services. We sing, pray, have a lesson from the Bible, take communion, and mention giving. When we sing, just sing right along with us from our home to your home and back.
Some has asked about our offerings. You can give through the mail to 906 E. Harding Street, Morrilton, Arkansas, 72110. You can stop by the church office any day from 9:00 to 12:00 and Rosetta will see that your gift gets to the right place. Or you can just hold your offering until we meet again on April 12th.
On Wednesday’s at 7:00 p.m. join us again on Facebook for Bible study. Just gather your family together, or if its just you, get to your favorite quiet place, open your mind, heart, and your Bible for a very special time of study and encouragement, only about 30 minutes.
If you need anything, please call Brother Bane or me and we’ll do our best to help you. If you need communion supplies, please stop by the church building and get some. Cindi posted a very east recipe for unleavened communion bread the other day on Facebook. Just go to her page and you can find it or give her a call. She baked some for us and it was very special. I hope to see you soon, grasp your hand without fear, and finally be together for worship and fellowship better than ever before.
Until then, we will just do the very best we can until we can do better. God bless us as we live one day at a time. Remember the rules and keep them.
