Welcome. It is so good to have another opportunity to worship God in spirit and in truth, to hear another message from His word, and to enjoy the blessing of Christian fellowship together on the Lord’s Day, the first day of the week, Sunday, today. January is now behind us. So far we have been enjoying a very mild winter with only a few days of cold temps and rain. And just look at God’s rich blessings today; sunshine and 70 degrees. In only 5 weeks from today we will be “springing forward” toward “spring break.” Daylight Saving Time begins on Sunday, March 8th.
Remember our 2020 GOALS:
150 members and guests on Sunday morning (Averaged 126 in January)
100 members and guests for Bible Class (83 in January)
75 for our Sunday Evening (65)
75 for our Wednesday Bible Study (We had a couple of bad weather days)
(I pray that our goal will one day be the same for each and every assembly)
$ 4,227.00 for the Offering ($4,068 so far)
We’re doing very well. Pray to God for His providence and then be on the lookout for opportunities to show and share His love in the gospel of Christ Jesus with those you know and love. You don’t have to know “book, chapter, and verse” in order to invite someone to come and see and hear what they need to see and hear. Of course, every aspect of our Christian life is found in that “book, chapter, and verse” of the Bible. I just love the church that belongs to Jesus Christ. I am so glad that we can take the Bible and show others how and why we are who we are and how and why we do what we do. People may reject what God says in His word or they may twist His word to make it mean something it doesn’t, but they ultimately cannot deny what is in plain view. Pray – Work – Live for Christ every day “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28).
Today we will introduce a new sermon series entitle “7 Steps Out of a Rut.” Sometimes we’re not where we need to be, not where we want to be. We’re not where we should be. Maybe we are in the wrong place at the wrong time doing the wrong thing. Maybe we’re in the right place doing the right thing and still something is not right. We know we need to make a change, but what can we do? In this series we will look at a man named Bartimaeus in Mark 10:46-52 and let him show us his 7 steps out of a rut. Step #1 is this: Take Responsibility for Your Life – No excuses – No blaming – No fear. We will focus on this series step by step Sunday morning and evening.
